Report: Roberto Carlos Speaks Up

Real Madrid Brazilian star left-back Roberto Carlos has denied reports linking him to a move away from the Spanish capital.

“It’s not true that I want to leave. It’s false. I like it here in Madrid with Real,” he said,

"People are talking about full-backs and it seems that somebody is looking for problems but people shouldn’t think anything strange of me. I have not been forcing myself too much in the past five months because I don’t want to be operated on,” he added.

Roberto Carlos’ contract with the Madrid giants expires in 2007.

He has been strongly linked with a move to Premireship leaders Chelsea next summer.
